The collar is firm without being stiff, so it stays upright zipped or unzipped. No floppy mandarin here.
The contrast stitching really pops off all the individual segments making up the jacket.
The pockets are generous and are made from the same slightly stretchy material as the rest of the jacket, but the hemline doesn't deform when you fill them.
The material itself is buttery smooth and soft, and so lightweight.
The sleeves are plenty long enough to wear with the thumbholes on or tucked up the sleeves. As an added bonus, the way the rings are sewn in, the wrist hem looks finished instead of simply folded down when the hand covers are tucked in.
And just by pure blind luck, the collar's circumference on the size L is precisely the size of my neck, just loose enough not to feel constricting, but snug enough that I can feel touching it all the way around.
When I first came across SuperX my initial reaction was sticker shock. I foolishly thought, "who's paying upwards of $100 for a pair of jogging pants they found in an ad on social media??" Me, apparently. Having purchased a number of items from them now and experienced the comfort, complexity, and quality personally, I realize how much effort has gone into the design and construction of each of their garments. Now, going back through the catalog, I'm honestly wondering how SuperX has managed to keep their prices so low.
